Born 1949 in London, the youngest of six children. Colin was tertiary educated in the UK to a Higher National Certificate level in Engineering, both Production and Mechanical. He married Jenny, his wife of thirty eight years in 1971, with whom he had two daughters, Sarah and Victoria. Emmigrating, as a family to South Africa in 1981, where, today they live in Johannesburg having been blessed with four Grandchildren, the inspiration of all the Dolly – the Dolphin stories. The stories are all set in Zinkwazi, the family’s favorite holiday spot, set on the Indian Ocean coastline of KwaZulu – Natal, the home of the legendary Zulu people.
Colin’s engineering career culminated in weapons development and trials work throughout the UK and Cape Canaveral, USA, including extensive Polaris land based projects. This was followed by twenty five years of Management Consulting experience, which included lecturing in Total Quality Management/World Class Manufacturing to senior executives in South Africa, UK and USA.
