Having been born and lived most of his early life in the English county of Sussex, Colin emigrating to South Africa in 1995 and settling in Johannesburg, where he still lives with his wife and adult Son.
He is much travelled, having visited a dozen European countries, a similar number in Africa, as well as China and Australia.
He is an astute observer of life in general and the unusual and absurd in particular, and started by writing comical anecdotes about his travels (particularly in Africa and China) for the amusement of his family in Europe. The stories eventually found a wider appreciative audience and as a result he was encouraged to write a novel.
Apart from travelling, Colin enjoys most sports and generally tries to enjoy all aspects of life as much as possible.
