Jayanti M Dalal

Mr Jayanti M. Dalal, B.Sc. (Hons.), a businessman and writer, was born in Kapadwanj (Gujarat, India) on 28th of December 1935. He was educated at the Jubilee school of Umreth and Ruia College, Bombay where he gained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1958. During his studies he developed a love of reading and wrote his first novel aged seventeen. To date, 22 books, including 14 novels, 3 collections of short stories and 5 compilations, have been published. He was the first Gujarati writer whose Gujarati Novel “Ankhane Sagpan Ansoona” was translated into English as “Ordeal of Innocence”, to get published in U.S.A. by Ivy house Publishing Group in 2005. To promote his novel he visited the U.K., U.S.A. and Canada in the same year.
