From his early years Martin always had stories struggling to get out, as evidenced by his writing and directing plays at school in Australia’s capital, Canberra, and later at university. His lecturers described him as a “word-smith.”
Years of travelling his beloved country as a green-leaf tobacco auctioneer, and later as a manager of licensed clubs, widened his experience and contact with a variety of individuals and situations. He still suffers from industrial deafness from hosting many of the top Australian and visiting rock groups.
Life is quieter now and there is now time for one of his favorite pursuits; story telling. His father had always said, ‘If a story’s worth telling, it’s worth telling well’.”
He believes strongly in the move of storytelling from musty tomes in a library to computers and iPads and is excited to be involved in the early stages. Martin has a wife and four children, a girl and three boys and lives in Brisbane, Australia.
