Neal Titus

My name is Neal Titus I was born and raised in Johannesburg, on the 12th July 1976. I’ve been a writer for a couple of years now, and since I started, my work has evolved tremendously. I got my first taste of writing whilst at school, when I was given a task to write something in line with Shakespeare’s ‘My mistresses eyes are nothing like the sun’ and since then I’ve been hooked on writing. I draw my inspiration from almost anything and anywhere. My poetic performances usually start with the phrases “I love women, and therefore I write about women”. With that thought in mind, comes the most seductive poetry and short stories you would have ever read. My work has made people laugh, cry, smile, feel hot, feel pain, feel happy, feel sad, take the human mind on journeys never travelled. My work, which includes poetry and short stories, is versatile; anything from fun to Erotic. Growing up my passion was always music, who knew destiny had a different fate for me. I suffered with Epilepsy, but that did not hold me back. I always knew that I had something special, but because I loved music so much I thought that was the route I’d take. My teenage years I spent in a town called Ennerdale based in the southern parts of Johannesburg. I attended primary school at Mid Ennerdale primary and my high schooling I completed at Ennerdale secondary School in 1995. My first job was working for Absa bank where I worked for eleven and a half years; before starting at the company for which I currently work. I married on the 29/04/2000 to Dorothy Walters now Dorothy Titus. She has born me two beautiful children, a boy by the name of Donell and a girl named Zhane.
