Pamela Boal was born in London in 1935. Married for fifty three years she has three children and five grandchildren, often the inspiration for her stories. After living in many locations at home and abroad she has been settled in Oxfordshire for some thirty five years.
Her first attempt at writing was as a seven year old. She wrote a one act play which was performed by local children in an air raid shelter to raise money for the Red Cross.
She writes in many fields, both fiction and non-fiction, however her favourite form of self expression has always been poetry. While her poems have been read on radio and published in a variety of magazines this is only her second collection, the first being published in 1975. The poems she has chosen are a broad spectrum of form and subject, however the main thrust of her work is the human condition.
