Mr. R.RANGARAJU is a graduate in Science and Engineering. He worked
for over thirty years as a scientist in a National Laboratory in
Bangalore, South India, and retired from service a few years ago. He
had keen interest in literature from his early days and took to
writing English fiction in his spare time. His first novel, ON THE
BANKS OF KAPILA, running to 500 pages, was published by Minerva
Press(Ind) Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, in 2004. It is the story of a devotee
singer and his two sons, one devout and the other wayward - A saga
spanning decades, a chronicle that weaves the timeless conflicts of
good and evil, faith and rationality, love and lust, trust and
betrayal in an extraordinary celebration of life. His second novel,
THE FINAL UNION, a short one, was published by Rubicon Publishers, New
Delhi, in 2006. It is a simple story of two boys, first united by
their own effort, then got separated by the customs of the soceity and
then again got united by the power of love and sacrifice. Two of his
later novels, SUBBA BHATTA AND HIS GHOSTS, a hilarious story of ghost
adventures of a village priest and A BONDED LABOURER OF MUTHUKADU, A
sordid story of the life of a bonded labourer, have been published by
Life of Riley Productions, London, on their website
www.abook2read.com. A TALE OF FOUR FRIENDS, dealing with the strange
adventures of four friends, is his fifth novel. Mr. Rangaraju
presently lives in Bangalore.
