Rebone Samantha Makgato was born in Pretoria, South Africa.
When I was five, my family moved to the Northern Province in the former homeland. I was educated at Matladi High School and at Intec College where I trained as a chemist and graduated with a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry. I also went on to Oxbridge Academy where I studied for a National Diploma in Business Administration, majoring in Economics. In 2004 I completed a certificate in Labour Relations Management with the University of South Africa (UNISA). I worked at Nedan Oil Mills, an edible oil manufacturing company from 1991 to 2007 as a laboratory chemist. I started writing in 1987, winning numerous writing contests. I enjoy writing short stories, poetry and novels, and a bit of investigative journalism.
In 2008 I started my own chemicals business, called Rebochem. My business supplies chemicals, laboratory apparatus, laboratory instruments, test kits and charts to schools and universities and manufacturing companies.
When I am not occupied with the business, I like to devise a new story to enthrall my
readers. My first love is, and will always remain writing...
