I had always heard that motherhood does wonders and now; I strongly believe so. I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband Kaustubh and after 5 years of marriage we were blessed with our sweet angel, our daughter Khushi, which means happiness. But, the day I held her in my arms, I decided to be a full-time-mother. Each day has been a rewarding experience ever since. I believe that I am a creative person but I have my daughter to thank for bringing the writer out in me. It was for her 1st birthday that I created a year book and vowed to keep this annual tradition going. A month before her 2nd birthday I sat down once again thinking about what to make. And that's where it all began :-) My daughter absolutely loves my first two books: "Reading Time with Hickory Dickory Dock" and "I bet you'll Love The Alphabet". Born to Ramesh & Rajesh Sharma, I have been brought up and educated in Delhi, India. My father has had a few of his technical books and papers published and I always took pride in seeing his name in print. Now I guess it’s my turn to make him feel proud. My mother who passed away 5 years ago would have been extremely thrilled at this small achievement. It’s like a dream come true. मैंने हमेशा सुना था कि मातृत्व अदभुद होता है; और अब मुझे इस बात पर पूरा विश्वास है। मेरी शादी को आठ साल हुए हैं। मेरे पति कौस्तुभ और मेरी शादी के पाँच साल बाद हमारी प्यारी बेटी ख़ुशी हमारे जीवन में आयी। जिस दिन मैंने उसे पहली बार अपनी गोद में लिया, तभी मैंने अपनी तेरह साल के करियर को अलविदा करके घर पे रहने का फैसला किया। हर दिन एक नयी ख़ुशी लेके आता है अब। मैं जानती थी कि मैं क्रियेटिव हूँ लेकिन मुझे लेखक बनाने का श्रेय मेरी बेटी को जाता है। ख़ुशी के पहले जन्मदिन पर मैंने उसके लिए एक किताब लिखी और प्रण लिया कि ऐसा मैं हर साल करुँगी। उसके दूसरे जन्मदिन से एक महीने पहले जब मैं सोच रही थी कि क्या करूं, तब मेरी पहली दो किताबों का विचार आया। मेरी बेटी को ये अंग्रेजी में लिखी हुई दो किताबें बहुत पसंद हैं - "रीडिंग टाईम विद हिककोरी डिककोरी डौक" और "आई बेट यू विल लव द अल्फाबेट"। हिंदी कि वर्णमाला सिखाने के इरादे से मैंने अपनी तीसरी किताब लिखी है - "आओ खेल-खेल में हिंदी सीखें"। मेरे माता-पिता का नाम राजेश और रमेश शर्मा है। मेरा बचपन और मेरी पढ़ाई भारत कि राजधानी दिल्ली में हुई है। मेरे पापा की कुछ टेक्निकल किताबें छपी हैं। उनका नाम छपा देख कर मुझे बहुत गर्व होता है। अब शायद उन्हें गर्व दिलाने की बारी मेरी है। मेरी माँ जो पाँच साल पहले गुज़र गयीं, मेरी इस सफलता पर बहुत खुश होतीं। यह एक सपना सच हुआ सा लगता है।
