Sharon Shefali Gupta is a Civil Servant and a writer. Born on the 20th of May 1970, she graduated with English Honours from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University in 1990 and went on to acquire a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Delhi University. She joined the Civil Service in 1994 and was posted to the Department of Telecommunications. She is currently serving as Director (Internal Audit) with the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, New Delhi.
She is married to a colleague and they have an eight-year-old son.
Sharon was always inclined towards writing and, in College, she was Student Editor of the in-house magazine, The Stephanian. She self-published a historical thriller fiction novel, 'Riders on the Storm' in October 2000. Over the years her short stories and articles have appeared in leading Indian newspapers like The Times of India, The Asian Age, and magazines like Femina and The Rock Street Journal. Sharon is primarily interested in writing romance fiction and she has three completed novels ready for publication at present. One of her works, 'Love in the Land of High Passes', is being published by New Generation Publishing of the Arts Council of Britain. Her second novel, 'The Marine and the Indian Rose' has been chosen by ‘Publish America’.
