Shishir Gupta

Shishir Gupta is a relatively young writer who hails from the esoteric land of India. He has an in-depth understanding of the cultures of the world through a process of intense reading of the philosophical and general literature available on the world stage. He uses this background and sprinkles generously with his intellect and emotions, weaving a kind of magic with his poetry. This poetry shelf has an astounding array of concerns that are touched on and dealt with at a depth rarely seen. He is quite effortless in his uncovering of the cliché’s of the human psyche and exposes hackneyed norms and mores in more ways than one. It would not be surprising if you magically find yourself and your travails and tribulations covered in his poetry as if he had been a bystander in your life; the simple reason is that Shishir has the uncanny knack of keeping tabs right on the most common emotions, happenstances and events in human life. He understands and makes you understand human race like never before.Shishir,though,working as a banker, has the mindset that would be best on a par with that of a mystic who has vision and who knows how to preserve and present that vision.
